Meet The Founders: The PE Teachers Behind Indigo Wolf

August 14, 2025

If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind the gear, meet the duo who ditched the classroom to take on the world of custom sportswear: Nath and Damo.

Back in their PE teaching days, they kept seeing the same problem: uniforms that didn’t last the term, club kits that looked like an afterthought, and designs that didn’t reflect the pride of the clubs wearing them. So they decided to change the game.

From the Sports Field to the Factory Floor

Born on the Surf Coast in Torquay, Indigo Wolf started with one big frustration: why is so much custom gear low quality, boring, or both? After years watching sports uniforms fall apart season after season, Nath and Damo figured enough was enough.

Their mission? Create gear that lasts, feels good, and actually gets worn. No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just honest, high-performance gear that schools, clubs, and communities are proud to wear.

Today, they’re still very hands-on with clients, designs and strategy. Their education background gives them an edge: they understand the school calendar, the importance of uniform identity, and the logistics behind group orders.

And they’re not slowing down any time soon.

We’re Not the Cheapest. We’re Not Trying to Be.

At Indigo Wolf, we don’t cut corners. Your school, club, or business deserves apparel that holds up under pressure and looks good doing it. That’s why we use premium materials, pay attention to every detail, and build everything to order.

We know we’re not the cheapest. But fast fashion doesn’t belong in teamwear. And nobody needs another hoodie in landfill six months down the track.

Sustainability Isn’t an Afterthought

We’ve taken real steps to reduce waste, including recycled fabrics, compostable packaging, and an upcycle program for retired gear. Nearly everything we make is built to order, so there’s no dead stock gathering dust. In early 2025 we became an authorised supplier of decorated Patagonia gear, bringing one of the world's most ethical apparel brands to schools and clubs across Australia.

Experience You Can Trust

Nath spent years in the Melbourne streetwear scene, learning the ins and outs of manufacturing and sales. Damo brought his background in teaching, HR, and international education to the table. Together, they’ve created a brand that blends creativity with reliability.

Now with offices in Torquay and Wollongong, Indigo Wolf works with schools, clubs, specialist sports programs, and organisations across Australia. From local legends to large-scale programs, they’re helping teams and communities look the part and feel proud doing it.
